For your own sanity (and, somewhat selfishly, for all of our sakes) please don't let it go ... after all, you weren't lying and, as has been evidenced by others, it's relatively easy for 'the system' to check on the facts of, at the very least, the broken IFE. If those who 'manage' CR think they can get away with this kind of response then it seems they'll apply the least amount of effort into researching, authenticating and dealing with genuine concerns of their customers as they can.
The advice given so far seems sound ... a written rebuttal of the accusation of lying, a telephone call to somebody more 'professional' and an IM to Nicci ... oh, and please do keep us all informed of the outcome ... for our sanity too!
