RC is owned by Marriott, so the differences might be less than you expect. I've stayed at some Marriotts that are better than some RC's, for example. But the primary difference is greater investment in the room furnishings (better furniture, towels, sheets) and larger room size, twice a day maid service and sound-proofing. The concierge varies by property but the best ones can really improve your dining experience.
