However, I can totally understand if Hyatt are trying to shake out those pseudo diamonds who did it with those budget stays at HP for $60 a pop. To be able to introduce meaningful benefits at the top level you can't have every man and his dog entitled to those benefits. Everyone is constantly complaining about over crowded RC, non availabllity of suites for upgrades, now with 4 pm checkout how can a hotel turn those rooms around in a timely fashion for incoming guests if half the hotel is Diamond.
I don't think it is about anyone saying it's ok for me to qualify on the cheap but not you, but rather Hyatt needing to focus on where the real bucks are coming from.
As somebody who will probably earn Diamond with probably 21 HP stays for 24-25 nights (albeit mostly in the $88-$104+tax range), I think I resemble that remark.

And that's without FFN - it just happened this year that my normal pattern got messed up and my dozen HR revenue stays went way down.
