I do like when the FA tries to at least recognize pax by name when taking orders, etc. They don't have to strike up a conversation--just be polite, efficient, and get the job done.

UA FAs do IME typically do address pax by name when taking meal orders, and occasionally throughout the flight--often enough that when I get a crew who doesn't, it stands out.

Oh, how unfortunately true...

Could be worse... remember when domestic C got worse than the paid meal options in Y? A fruit (not fruit & cheese, mind you--just fruit!) plate on a breakfast IAD-DEN flight comes to mind. But as I've stressed in feedback to UA before, domestic C should receive at least as good of a meal (choices included) as 2-class domestic F!
