AFAIK they start next April (2012). Premium economy seat maps have been unavailable after this time as it's not known which aircraft will be flying on any given day (some LHR 747s will be in to cover).

No idea how long it is scheduled to take though. I think there are 7 planes to do - the 443 variants GAL, ROS, ROY and LIP (Nova IFE) a couple of 41R AST,XLG and a 4Q8 - TOP(Odyssey IFE). ROM has been off at Aerosur since last year.

Your friend could always do LHR>LAX and then the short hop to LAS on B6? My preferred route but I have to say that is driven by reward availability.
