Is the RTW anywhere they fly or is it North Pacific only? If it is the latter, it is on par for that routing. If you can fly to Australia/New Zealand for that fare, it is a bargain. If you are not hung up on getting miles, you might be able to get cheaper RTW fares on other mileage plan-unaffiliated carriers.
Make sure your fare isn't U.S.-originating. That generally results in a higher fare than a Canada-originating one.
