Hi - I am flying DL more and more these days (whereas I used to fly AA pretty exclusively) and am looking to optimize my strategies in checking in. I should mention I'm fairly tall - so I do everything I can to get exit rows/bulkheads. I'll take a middle seat exit row/bulkhead over an aisle/window anywhere else any day!

My current system is that I do online check in just about as soon as I am able to do so, via the Android application on my phone. Then when I get to the terminal, I check in again at a kiosk. I've found that, more often than not, there are exit row seats that have opened up. Typically a bunch of them. On my last 4 DL flights I've gotten an exit row all 4 times!

How can I optimize this strategy? Can I recheck in via my phone? Is there a right time to be rechecking in? Any other suggestions? To be clear - my goal here is leg room!
