There are hints that a Sale will be unveiled soon, so perhaps you may want to wait a day or two. Apart from reducing the cost, it may allow you to use the miles for their most cost effective purpose, upgrading WT+ fares to CW, at least in one direction. That would apply to BA flights only. I agree that using Miles to get economy tickets is often poor value, unless flexibility or a late booking comes into the equation.
Thank you!, I would love to consider WT+ or CW, but we always seem to scrimping for miles and every year it is touch and go whether my partner will re-qualify for his Silver card! I tend to only look at the next flight we do, spending the least possible in real cash and be resigned to never tasting the delights of WT+ or CW! That said, it does not help that I opted to turn our Tesco vouchers into Airmiles rather than BA Miles.... oh well, you live and learn!
PS.. Does anyone know of a way to convert Airmiles to BA Miles? Just grabbing at straws....
