In LHR, BA split the ticket fare in half and printed our reissue in 45 minutes at most.

AA tried to do this at the beginning (34 segs) but was then told by a RTW agent that my credit card may get billed twice if it were split. They hand wrote it in 3 - 4 hours.

Now when I had to make a change in MIA. It took 8 hours straight at the airport ticket desk, we missed the last flight out that night, and they ended up spliting the ticket but with a lot of mess typed on it. It seems to have come out as a point to point ticket with no connections.
