This alliance is not defined by its American anchor. BA is probably a significantly stronger force in OW than AA.

BA can pretty much take QF and IB with it wherever it goes, and because of Eddington's deep connections at CX, he can probably bring them along, too.

The upshot of which is that if BA/KL comes to pass, then KL will almost certainly be brought into OW. If any realignment happens, it will be realignment on the US side, not the European side.
