why would anyone go to wings at this point? what, if anything, have you heard about this alliance in the last few months? do you really think ba would like to start the wheels in motion of launching another new alliance? much less, spend the expense in advertising, retraining, reprinting all materials, etc??? besides, co and kl have been having major issues for a long time about this, and if they had been resolved, i'm sure they would have been pumping this alliance up bigtime, even with kl money woes.
i think the odds are that if ba/kl goes through, aa pushes harder to buy nw, or at least nw attempts to join 1w. i can not envision really more than three of the worldwide alliances. everyone is going to scatter to join up if dl can really get this skyteam thing up and running with a decent amount of carriers.
