As a follow up to all the PM & DM's that are going to be calling going ballistic over this I thought I would call the medallion line and remind them of this point and maybe at the next team meting they could prepare for next week.

The response was even for me a bit shocking:

1 - the rep tried to sell me on the fact that this a good thing (really DL this is the way you are going to have the reps PLAY this - crazy)!

2 - they are getting sick of the calls already at this point.

3 - no answer to question of the discretion of the phone rep as to if to change or loose the miles - this is no way to run an airline!

4 - as a PM I have not got any email even though they are saying everyone has been notified about the change (we all trust DL IT right?)

Bottom line next week the craziness continues. IMO we keep calling, faxing, tweeting and emailing until they get this is bad.

Also UNITED now matching 1K is going to be a HUGE ( http://t.co/gUMqm3m ) draw to move DM to switch. This will cost DL millions over the years and could be a point they looked back and say "what in the world were we thinking" but then it will be too late!@:-)
