Thanks for the great tip. I was also waiting to be upgraded but nothing (had more than 10 rentals already). After reading the last post I've decided to call customer services. I was told (at least here in the UK) that the upgrades happen once a year, on your membership anniversary. I kindly asked for an exception and the super friendly lady from Hertz upgraded me on the spot!
