Smile Rewards Programmes Advice

Dear all,

In the past year I've taken quite a few international, long haul flights on various airlines to and from various countries.

I'm 19 and while I only had AAdvantage before, I think it would be a good idea to try and claim for as many of these miles as I can, ideally on an airline network that flies between Boston and London (all of them I think).

I seek advice on which airline rewards programmes would be most useful for me to join, giving the airlines I've flown recently.

On a related topic, is it even possible to claim for miles flown on airlines before you were a member of their frequent flyer programme? What's the best way to go about this?

The flights (still have boarding pass stubs)-

Kenya Airways X1
KLM X2
South African Airways X3
Aerolineas Argentinas x3
Delta X2
Qantas X2
Thai Airways X1
Kingfisher X2
Virgin Atlantic X2
(possibly useless but also 4 TAM Brasil domestic flights)

Thanks for any help!
