I agree with you fully about the mini-bar prices, and I agree with you about room service prices with one exception: The Peppermill in Reno has an extensive room service menu that appears to be identical to the menu in the on-site coffee shop, and the last time I checked it only cost an extra $2-$3 per item for having the food delivered to one's room. This seemed quite reasonable to me, especially when compared to other hotels I've stayed at that offer a very limited room service menu at nearly double the price those same items command when ordered in the hotel restaurant.
