There is a follow-up from the poster of the original blog entry.
He says this is for 2013, not for 2012
When flying coach, Global Services members get a free meal, free drinks, free entertainment (headsets and DirectTv), and free Red Carpet Club premium drink. Diamond members would get the choice of two of those when flying coach, while Platinum members would get to choose one.
Global Services, Diamond, and Platinum members would get a Global Entry enrollment fee waiver (Markie comment - useless for non-US members)
It should have said four segments on United, Continental, Copa, or Aerorepublica
The GE fee waiver is also useless for those of us who already have it, nevertheless its not a bad idea. I don't expect or think they can or should provide something in its place.
Ultimately, there are a few things that I expect to have as someone who flies a lot with UA: E+, SDC without a charge, no change/redeposits on rewards and upgrades with priority based on LTV (status) not fare du jour.
