My quest for a double 100 K BONUS wasn't easy, to say the least.
At the airport Friday, I find out the a.m. flt. to LHR is canceled.. mech.problems-sure right.Lucky me , the customer agent has some mercy. She upgrades me to BC,for the next flight and throws in a day pass to Admirals Club. Unlucky me ,the new flight leaves an hour late, so I miss the the LHR -MAN flight.
The BA agent at LHR, says tough luck, your ticket says no changes - no refunds.Rather than argue at the momemnt , I buy A LHR-AMS and continue on to BCN .The BA agent did upgrade to the front of plane .I backtracked to AMS-MAN on Cathay with a BC on the MAN -AMS segment.The hard part was finished.
The return to U.S. the LHR-BOS segment was without incident.The BOS-ORD segment was one for the books .AA canceled 2 ORD flights and combined all the passengers on a F -100 plane.
