Upgraded to AX Plat and applied for GE. Day 13 after app, I got an email for conditional approval. Schedule interview next day, 8/3. Interview is merely confirmation of ID, photo and fingerprints. Approval basically happens on the spot at interview. They show you the Kiosk routine (the demo Kiosk was out of order at the time which is not a good sign), then he gave me a contact card with a hand written ph# for the Orlando GE office if I had any problems. He said I would get an email notification of approval w/i 24-48 hrs, but a week later nothing. Called the ph# and got the same guy. Explained my online status still showed the 8/2 conditional approval - he checked online and reset the approval. I then received a status change email within hours, checked my app status online, and I'm golden.

The CBP agents are now quite busy since the AX Plat reimbursement offer. I suspect their world was rather quiet prior to that offer.
