Cdn has already posted my YEG-YVR segment from Saturday. I will now wait a few days to see if the return on Monday gets posted there (I hope not) or on AA, whose site I'll check in a week or so.
By the way, how long does it take for oneworld partners to credit mileage on one another? I suspect AA and Cdn will be quick since they both use Sabre. Anybody know which members use Sabre, and what res systems the others use? This may help us figure out respective problems on getting credit by segment rather than by full booking.
You're right, this may be one of the bigget headaches to sort out for oneworld airlines in the new millennium.
By the way, I've calculated that the cost of getting 100K +flight mileage, on two oneworld partners in this promo will be US$1200/C$1750 including all airport, customs and other fees. (Hotel nights not included.)
For this investment, I will get two J-class tickets to South Africa and/or Australia/New Zealand worth C$6,000 each. Not a bad return on the "investment", plus the Spanish holiday in late November I'll have earning the miles.
Will all this hubris be our downfall because of res system inability to credit separate programs for each segmnet flown? Time will tell...
