I have a true and funny story to tell...

In 1990, my wife (now ex) and I stayed in a small hotel in Caracas, Venezuela.

Sometime shortly after midnight, the phone rang and there was a young female voice who asked, "Hola Seņor. Quieres tu compania?"

My response: "Uno momento, por favor. Yo pregunto mi esposa!"

Needless to say, she hung up the phone immediately.

The next morning, I spoke to the reception desk and he apologized for the mistake. It is common for the night porter at the front desk to receive a commission for enabling the transaction...

I still laugh about it...
