How many Prime Ministers get assassinated, huh? Do you know completely incorrect your post is? Out of India's 13 Prime Ministers, only one has been assassinated. Rajiv Gandhi wasn't the PM when he was assassinated. If the entire security thing is complete nonsense, how come no plane in India has been hijacked since IC 814? How come no plane has been crashed into crowded cities?

And with regards to the "slovenly intrusive neoliterate security arrangements", you obviously have never boarded a flight to America from a high risk country. Heck, try flying from Amsterdam. Forget checking your baggage for a rubberstamp, they screen your hand baggage all over again. You take out laptops and stuff, all over again. You go through a full body scanner. You get hand frisked. And this is while you're in a sterile area. Its saddening that you have such an image of India in your head. You may not face a constant terror threat where you live, but not everybody is that lucky. I'd rather go through all of that, than have my head blown off by you carrying your Uzi onto my flight.
This is not Parliament its only a bulletin Board so chill with your pompous talk of ""baseless allegations"" etc! We post opinion here and my opinion was on an insitution and the consequences of its venal dysfunctionality for aviation security.

On security: If you like and enjoy the tag business suit yourself. If you think it protects you effectively, again. suit yourself

ANd I do not appreciate your making personalised comments/assumptions on what flights I boarded where, what my image of India is etc. Its against the spirit of this bulletin board. Please find other ways to express yourself.
