UA 862 which was supposed to leave HKG on 10 August and then was rescheduled to 11 August due to a mechanical on the 10th, diverted to Tokyo and arrived into Tokyo at 1829 which leads me to believe they were past Tokyo and turned around.
Now the flight is suppose to leave NRT on 12 August at 1430 and arrive into SFO at 0735. Flight number is now UA 1758.

Man, how many TPAC flights have been canceled this week, and all seemingly on 744s?!? Why do we never seem to hear of CX flights on its 744s being canceled? Makes it pretty tough to book a UA TPAC flight if you really need to get to your destination on that day. It's almost like you need to have a buffer day assuming that there will be at least one day of cancellation.
