Most kids' menus are nasty. Yes, I had a brother who ate only basic meat and potatoes as a kid and now lives on peanut-butter-and-cheese crackers packed by his loving wife when he travels on business in in Asia- but in addition to ordering from the regular menu, appetizers are an option if a full-size serving is too much. I still fondly remember making a dinner of a shrimp cocktail appetizer when I was about 9 years old and we stopped on a road trip somewhere. My siblings (except the picky eater) were jealous.
