Too bad the Delta redeposit rules they just announced has killed this debit card for me. I'll be closing my SunTrust account which has been used exclusively to take advantage of the Delta SkyMiles accumulation factor. This card worked great to fill in a gap with my cards that I have.

No more. It gets cancelled after I complete a trip to Europe next week. I use it as an ATM card in Europe to get access to foreign currencies. This trip, I'll test what I can now use as a primary card and I'll use the SunTrust card only as a backup.

The new redeposit policy by Delta is truly changing my behavior and attitude towards collecting SkyMiles. It's no fun anymore. Ironically, aren't the new DL ads on TV about making travel respectable and fun while rewarding loyalty? The new policy makes collecting SkyMiles just seem dirty.

Avoiding the new fees that will be charged by SunTrust on the card will be icing on the cake.
