I received a very prompt reply from my email I sent.

Basically it said they could not waive the fee because it covers many different things, but the CSR was given managers approval to credit my account 3K points within 24 to 48 hours.


My account is under my husbands name and he hates doing this stuff, i pay and maintain our account so sending an email via amex site was quickest and easiest for me. . .and we still were granted 3K *pts!
