Just looked at my Mileage Plus account activity for the first time since having booked the trip through United Vacations. I wasn't expecting the 2X Chase credit card UNTD bonus for booking this, both because I did it over the phone and because my understanding is the United Vacations isn't actually a part of United but rather an separate company that United licenses their name too. But there it was--the bonus miles applicable to United purchases was applied to the purchase of the vacation package through United vacations.
