If this is the only restaurant open in the hotel, then the restaurant should be serving a children's menu, etc. (assuming large city hotel)
Whilst I believe a hotel should have restaurant facilities where children are welcomed, I don't know that they need to have a 'children's menu', especially not one with chicken fingers on it. The child, depending on age, could eat something from the regular menu, or a starter, or some of the food from their parent's plates. We often go to a restaurant in a small town near us, with our good friends and their little e-year-old boy. There is no child's menu, he has 'real' food, and it isn't an issue.
