Not if folk who would normally buy CE, know they can get it much cheaper on flights they don't know are busy always by a ET fare, knowing they can simply pay £80 or so on the day to bump it up.
We can play airline CEO all we want, you'd hope* that the people with access to the actual numbers would know a LOT better than us on how to price their product to maximise the profits
*at least if you're a shareholder!
