By the way, with the comparisons to Prohibition, people forget two basic facts:

1. Prohibition did not make drinking illegal
2. Repeal of Prohibition did not make drinking legal

So it's not quite a direct comparison with the drug issue.
Just FYI, alcohol is a drug. So is aspirin, caffeine, etc.
