Did you even read the press release?
It indicates all UA did wrong was not throw out the old cardstock with the old limits. They processed baggage claims consistent with the new policy, though.
And, fwiw, it amounts to $2.34, based on UA/CO's 2010 profit, and assuming average FT income is 100,000.
