To the question should you avoid them...you answered the question by creating this thread. It's obvioulsy important to you to get unlimited access with unlimited devices. So yes, in your case you should avoid them.

Personally speaking, if I need access badly enough to pay $15 a day, I can live with just one device, my laptop. So for me, no I don't really care either way.
Good point..

In this case I would seek out the hotel that charges an arm and a leg for internet and for phone usage.. that way I'm encouraged to focus on my vacation..
