As with so many Marriott rules the language can be read either way. Nowhere in the rule do I read the words "you get the lounge period." I read various wording as to what you get. Then I read the words "Outside the US and Canada, you are entitled to continental breakfast seven days a week." You could argue that means "in addition" to everything else, or it could mean "instead of everything else." We all, of course, would prefer "in addition." Apparently, from above posts, St. Pancras reads it "instead of."
