Not strange at all, in fact quite normal behavior.

Enraged FTers that perceive they've been deeply "wronged" often expend exceptional amounts of emotional energy creating "the letter." They then come to FT believing the pack will be as absolutely worked into as frothy a rage as they are, will support their position/conclusions, and validate their already made decision to send said communique

When the tide shifts against them most quickly disappear into the night... until next time.
