Doubtful. This seems to be DL's exact intent. Hold things until the last minute. And my guess is they will program that if there are mass cancellations at 72 hours, they'll hold at high.

You can book new award reservations within 72 hours. What is being restricted is CHANGING an award ticket within 72 hours or REDEPOSITING miles from an award ticket within 72 hours.
Here's my problem, they completely did an about face from what was it, 2 weeks ago.
What, did DL monitor the change on FT, see that people accepted it without much complaint, and then get greedy??? That's my guess, DL you should be ashamed. Further, funny that DL only posted on FT about the change after the cat was out of the bag.

to lack of proactive communication, but doing so only after trying to do damage control.

Why oh why did I ever not listen to the PMNW folks who said burn baby burn....?

Funny, they can change their policy and find a way to implement it twice in weeks, yet the award calendar years later, still broken!!!

TTU will be sent, I agree. Send your complaints in.

+1. But this is exactly what DL wants to do, fleece us of our miles at high and force us to eat it or not fly and use them.

PMNW it was there. They simply did what they said they would, best of both. This, on the other hand, is a true devaluation.
