The direct buses that mosburger entail significantly less hassle (i.e. no need to deal with train station), but if you're dying to try the train just for the thrill of it, then maybe the hassle could be justified.

I recently went out of my way to take the new Beijing to Shanghai *G* train for the thrill (before the accident). Really enjoyed the experience, though the hour plus it took standing in lines to buy a ticket was not!
