Can you really use EC miles for flights to / from Ireland on EI ?

I am hoping to use EC miles to get home from Ireland this fall. On the BA website "Spending BA miles" page the only airport listed in Ireland is Shannon.

But when I do a search for award flights from SNN to YYC I get the dreaded "British Airways and its partners do not fly this route."

Any suggestions much appreciated.

P.S. I realize that I will have to connect through LHR to get to YYC. It is the SNN ( or DUB, etc. ) to LHR part of the trip that is causing EC booking problems.
