Changing one leg of award ticket without other repricing

Quick question. I've seen various comments about this in some threads but wanted to get a better understanding.

I booked 2 seats in J at 100,000 from MSP-DTW-LHR and LHR-MSP for next May. I am thinking of possibly changing the return to CDG-IAD-MSP because the taxes price out about $350 cheaper and we are spending the second half of our trip in Paris, so it would save me a trip on the Eurostar back to London for the return flight. I would also get to fly on the 380, which would be a first.

Am I allowed to change the return leg without it affecting the pricing on the outbound? I know my flights on the outbound are now pricing out at medium rather than low. However, I know there is availability at the low level for CDG-IAD-MSP.
