I travel regularly between the US and Europe on BA, but in economy, and never often enough to get enough BA tier points to get lounge access.

Someone suggested I purchase a Qantas Club membership for $600/yr or so.

I've had a look at their website and it looks like it would be possible to get BA lounge access this way.

Can anyone who does this confirm that when traveling...

- on BA to/from Heathrow terminal 5
- on economy/World Traveller tickets
- without status on BA or Qantas frequent flier programmes
- WITH a Qantas Club card

...I'd be allowed to saunter straight in to the BA lounges at Heathrow T5?

I'd hate to shell out and then be turned away! many thanks for any advice.
