Tango+ unknowlingy changed to Tango
I vaguely remember this coming up before and I can't remember the outcome - I can't find it through search either.
I was booked Tango+ YVR>YYZ, when I went to check-in the agent said my flight was oversold and offered me the earlier flight which I jumped at. She didn't tell me that she took me from my Tango+ booking class to a Tango booking class. Lo and behold I was given 25% non-status miles!
I've talked to Aeroplan (twice) who pushed me back to AC res who won't deal with it - not thier problem they say it's Aeroplans. I've sent an email through the complaints system to AC and still waiting (two weeks).
The Aeroplan supervisor I spoke to pulled up my confirmation and agreed I'd purchased Tango+ bookings but said they would only award miles on the information that AC sent them!
Needless to say I'm pissed - I've spent valuable time on this and of course the original extra $$ to get status miles.
Any suggestions or similar experiences/outcomes?
