Moral of the story - always pack a change of clothes in your carry on. No matter where I am traveling to, even home, I do that. Has saved me lots of times. Even when my carry on is a photo backpack, I manage to slip a change of clothes into it.

And on the way home, I hope my checked luggage doesn't arrive with me. That way the airline delivers it to my home when it arrives. No need to handle heavy luggage myself!
