My original flight (MSP-TPA 1329) was cancelled after

1. boarding late
2. taxiing out to runway
3. returning to gate but not deplaning
4. taxiing again to runway
5. returning to gate to deplane and "maybe" switch planes

At that point i called the PL line and got back-up seats for my travel companion and I on DL 1712. Agent told me to go to any gate for new BP. But....agent at gate couldn't give us new BPs because we weren't marked as "deplaned". Then we were told replacement plane was at the gate, we should wait. After 30 minutes I asked GA if we should continue to wait, as we were getting close to window of missing 1712. At desk GA told me to wait, but FA came out to crowd and found me and told me to head to 1712's gate.

We got there, and found 1712 was weight restricted, and even though we had a res, it couldn't get be ticketed. Long story long....companion and I are on 1712, 1329 ws cancelled.

Now, I wonder if my suitcase will make it to TPA. I've missed today's meetings, and sure would like a change of clothes. 1712 was delayed about 30 min and they said they were waiting for passengers and luggage from 1329 so that gives me hope. Anyone else had a similar experience and had their bags show up with them?
