Friends, its my wifes birthday we are going to BA for Its her first time... so I do want to make sure we have 5 nights in a nice place...
but Im the hotel type so i better get this right or Ill never hear the last of it
I have no issues with either Sheraton but for a 1st visit and a birthday to boot I would go with the Libertador - being able to walk out the door and be one block from Florida and the Galerias Pacifico is great (unless of course your wife doesn't like shopping
)
The standard rooms at the Libertador are not spacious and the Club rooms are no bigger but more modern. The Junior Suites are very nice and worth the extra IMHO (although as an SPG Platinum I don't usually have to pay the extra
)
If you really want to impress just bite the bullet and pay the extra for the Presidential Suite and you get a huge bathroom with jacuzzi and individual sauna, a massive living/dining area with panoramic views over BA and a large bedroom.
On the other hand, 5 nights in a Junior Suite at the Libertador will cost about the same as a week here
