This is one instance when status with a hotel chain would help. If this occurred, I would force availability via Hyatt or *wood, either cover the cost or use travel insurance, and make QF schedule me to the following day.
Except that hotel status requires you to give 24 hour notice to invoke the guarantee and thereby rendering it useless in this case.
