See, with my cynicism about the media (generally, but more so when any mention of firearms is involved) I suspect had it been what we describe as the "registerable" parts here... what US law deems to be the "gun" for legal purposes... then the media would be all over calling it a GUN..

As they have not... well... you can imagine MY conclusion!

Thoughts of storms and teacups, mountains and molehills abound....
A barrel and rounds that fit can be an effective weapon as long as you have a rubber band, a steel bearing and some duct tape.
