Thanks zigzag, did you visit the Kandalama as well?

If so, what did you think of the property and is it a place you'd consider staying or more of an interesting stop along the way? I'm not quite sure what to make of it but was considering a short overnight. Architecturally it looks to be quite something, but I'm concerned it might be a bit too resorty and disney-esque for my taste. What was your impression?
