The lady may have been pleasant but what she told you can't be right. A one-way C award within Zone 8 is 11,250 miles + 75 GBP (miles x 1.5 + cash x 1.5) plus taxes.
Before I go on purchasing the miles at bmi, what about doing so with US Airways Dividend Miles? Is there a better deal?
US Airways Dividend Miles are great for certain longhaul premium awards but not so good for shorter distances. There isn't any double miles offer at present and they don't do one-way awards either.
