Nuwara Eliya is actually closer to the Tea Trails than Kandy though. I believe it's not more than an hour's driving distance, so ideal for an afternoon tour, and the scenic drive through the narrow mountain passes in the hillsides and valleys are supposed to be really something. It's an old Anglican settlement way up in the high country with beautiful views and many historic buildings and monuments. I think it'd be fun to take a drive up to the Hill Club for high tea and tour the area for a couple of hours, before returning.

Apart from the size, views and layout, would you say the aesthetic and furnishings of all of the rooms at Castlereigh are pretty similar?
