Bluetooth on *A carriers, allowed or not?
General rules onboard airplanes is that radio transceivers and/or receivers may not be used. However some carriers is getting more liberal with these rules, for example SAS now allows GPS receivers to be used as long as the seatbelt sign is turned off. SAS will also install a wireless internet onboard their longhaul fleet next year which will allow high speed internet onboard for notebooks and PDA´s.
My question is if Bluetooth hardware is allowed to use or not? I´m sure most FA´s will say no if a pax ask (just to be on the safe side). I have just bought a Bluetooth mouse for my notebook, that´s why I ask.
Any experience of Bluetooth on *A carriers will be appreciated.
