A balance of paid Y and C probably earns more total program miles with MP.

not on short-UA (and most other) flights where miles&more credits at least: eco 1'000 (UA 500), business 2'000 (UA 750) and first (also first on 2-class UA flights) 3'000 (UA 1'000) miles; or for StarGold status holders it is eco LH 1'250 / UA 1'000, business LH 2'500 / UA 1'250, first LH 3'750 / UA 1'500
