The MH YQ is $326.80 for SYD-KUL-LHR (or at least that's what it converted to in USD at the time of reservation/ticketing). ITA reports YQ of $115 for SYD-KUL right now, so about $200 back if I could get KL KUL-AMS-LHR (assuming that DL doesn't decide to slap me with KL's YQ then) with a free PM change. CZ's YQ/YR as far as AMS is $163.30 with less convenient flight times (SYD-CAN-PEK-AMS-LON would wind up being the routing). 9W and IT don't fly to Australia, and they also don't really fly to any of the hubs of the Asian SkyTeam carriers I could redeem on, necessitating an extra flight and generally a couple hour layover around 0200.
If only DL were willing to implement KE's actual blackout dates (i.e., black out only the flights KE requires more miles for, which are usually domestic flights in Korea), this YQ thing would be a lot simpler.
